Mark is Head of the Litigation and Employment Department, having joined the Firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 1981. He qualified in 1983 having gained his degree at the University of Liverpool. 

Mark has significant experience of all aspects of litigation work, acting for both claimants and defendants, including-:

  • Commercial Disputes
  • Property Litigation
  • Estate & Will Disputes
  • Professional Negligence
  • Debt Recovery

Mark has a Masters’ Degree in Employment Law & Human Relations. He has acted for both employers, large & small, and employees. He is able to advise upon-:

  • settlement agreements; 
  • disciplinary issues, grievances, performance management processes; 
  • sickness/incapacity issues; 
  • equality/discrimination; 
  • bullying and harassment at work; 
  • breach of contract; 
  • restrictive covenants/injunctions; 
  • bonus/commission issues; 
  • employment status/self-employment; 
  • preparation of contracts of employment/service agreements/staff handbooks; 
  • maternity issues and flexible working; 
  • redundancy; 
  • TUPE.
