Helen is an Associate Solicitor who Heads up our Probate and Court of Protection Department based at our Southport Office. She attended Chester College of Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 She joined Hodge Halsall in February 2017 after previously doing her training contract with them back in 2006
Helen specialise in all areas of Elderly Client Practice including –
- Lasting Powers of Attorney – Property and Affairs and Health and Welfare
- Probate and Estate Administration
- Court of Protection Applications
Helen has extensive experience working as a Professional Attorney or Deputy for clients, dealing with all matters on their behalf from dealing with their investments and properties, making sure they are receiving all the benefits, to rehousing their cats !
Helen is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has undertaken training on Dementia which has greatly assisted her in understanding the condition and communicating effectively with suffers
Helen has dealt with applications to the Court of Protection to put Tax Planning and Wills in place for clients without the Mental Capacity to do it themselves.
Outside work Helen is proud to be a Trustee for Sefton Pensioners Advocacy Centre and enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter
